A graduate of Livermore High School, Mr. Thorp brings more than fifteen years of experience from the construction industry, where he worked with a wide range of heavy machinery and helped bring complex projects to life. That background gives him a strong appreciation for safety, structure, and attention to detail, skills he applies every day in his role on our campus. Mr. Thorp is a devoted family man and the proud father of three boys. He valued being part of the BASIS Independent Fremont community, where he helped maintain a safe, supportive environment for students to learn and grow. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, attending his sons’ sporting events, and cheering on the Oakland Raiders. He has also coached his sons’ baseball teams for more than 14 years. An outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Thorp enjoys fishing, country living, and spending time in nature.
