Ms. Sanchez was drawn to BASIS Independent Bothell because of the school’s commitment to intellectual growth and its belief in every child’s potential. She appreciates the emphasis on a joyful learning culture and an advanced, benchmarked curriculum, which aligns with her belief that students thrive when academic challenge is paired with compassion and support. She strives to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, embracing mistakes as opportunities for growth, and sharing their ideas with confidence. By fostering curiosity, maintaining high expectations with compassion, and honoring individual learning styles and interests, she encourages students to take ownership of their learning.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Sanchez enjoys running, working out, reading, exploring local coffee shops, playing pickleball, roller skating, attending music festivals, traveling, hiking, and taking dance classes. She began taking dance classes in 2023 and has grown to appreciate dance as a creative way to express emotions while developing core strength, body awareness, and agility. She is currently challenging herself to take more contemporary dance classes to continue developing these physical, cognitive, and expressive skills.
