Ms. Vorce is passionate about creating an engaging, collaborative environment where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to learn. “I view learning as an active, collaborative process,” she shares. “My teaching is rooted in the belief that every student brings unique perspectives, strengths, and interests to the classroom.”

Ms. Vorce was drawn to BASIS Independent Bothell for its rigorous academic program and distinctive co-teaching model, which mirrors the collaborative approaches she valued while teaching in South Korea. She believes that students learn best when they feel safe, valued, and intellectually curious. These conditions were present in one of her favorite lessons, an immersive Oregon Trail unit where students took on the roles of pioneers and collaborated on a student-choice-driven scrapbook. “It helped students connect with history in a memorable and meaningful way.”

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Vorce enjoys walking her dog with her husband, playing the violin, taking karate lessons, and playing Nintendo Switch. After living in South Korea for five years, she still enjoys practicing Korean and cooking Korean cuisine!
