She wants to help students discover that everything we learn – especially in math and science – is all around us in our lives. “My goal is to make learning meaningful, exciting, and connected to the world our students experience each day,” says Ms. Kamano. “I believe that math and science are not just subjects, but essential parts of our daily lives.”

She believes in helping students see the real-world connections in what they’re learning through using hands-on activities to bring lessons to life. “My goal is to create a classroom environment that's fun, engaging, and full of opportunities for discovery every single day,” she says.

Ms. Kamano loves exploring new places and cultures through travel. Recently, she has had the amazing opportunity to visit Australia, Hawaii, Belize, Mexico, and Canada. She also enjoys singing and playing the ukulele. “Music and adventure bring me joy, and I love finding ways to incorporate both into my daily life and teaching,” she says.
