Ms. Johnston is a certified Personal Trainer through the World Instructor Training Schools and holds EMT and Medical Assisting certifications from Bates Technical College. As the School Health Coordinator at BASIS Independent Bothell, Ms. Johnston manages student health records, medications, and allergy action plans, while providing daily care and first aid. “My goal is to help create a safe, supportive, and wellness-focused environment for every student,” she explains.

Ms. Johnston chose BASIS Independent Schools for their academic rigor, global perspective, and commitment to whole-child support. “With my background in health, wellness, and therapeutic care, I’m especially looking forward to working directly with students to help create a safe, supportive environment where they can thrive.”

Outside of school, Ms. Johnston stays active through stand-up paddling, traveling, and circus-style fitness. She is a licensed equine massage therapist and has worked with horses both in the U.S. and abroad. She also volunteers at animal sanctuaries, using her training to support rescue horses.
