Ms. Pfeiffer is a Kindergarten Teaching Fellow at BASIS Independent Bothell. As an educator, Ms. Pfeiffer strives to foster a classroom culture where young students feel both confident in themselves and supportive of one another. “My teaching philosophy is having respect for each student as an individual so that they can be confident in sharing what they know and asking about what they don't know.”

She chose BASIS Independent Schools because of the belief in every child’s potential and the benefits of a collaborative Kindergarten classroom environment. “I think having multiple teachers in the Kindergarten classroom will be a great benefit to all the students.”

Ms. Pfeiffer believes that students learn best when they work together and feel encouraged and supported by those around them. One of her favorite activities was teaching students about healthy food choices and helping them plant vegetable seeds as a hands-on way to grow their own nutritious food.

When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Pfeiffer enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and riding bikes with her family. A fun fact: she competes on an adult gymnastics team!
