Mr. Joemjumroon is a Math Subject Expert Teacher at BASIS Independent Bothell. “My teaching philosophy is that effective learning can only come when students are supported in a safe and inclusive environment and to challenge my students to become critical thinkers by engaging in thoughtful discussions and tackling complex problems,” he explains. His goal is to inspire students to enjoy learning mathematics and to apply it in meaningful ways, both academically and in everyday problem-solving.

Mr. Joemjumroon was drawn to BASIS Independent Schools because of the strong student-teacher relationships and the opportunity to help students reach their full potential through deep engagement with the subject. He enjoys designing lessons that make abstract concepts accessible and exciting.

One of his favorite lessons is a Calculus activity where students simulate designing and selling a product. As they adjust pricing and track “customer” data over time, they use optimization techniques from class to determine how to maximize profits. “It’s a fun and hands-on way to apply core calculus concepts while encouraging creativity and strategic thinking,” he says.

Outside of teaching, Mr. Joemjumroon enjoys golf, pickleball, and bouldering – a pursuit he discovered while supervising a school climbing trip. “After trying it out myself, I was immediately hooked, and it has been a lifelong passion since.”
