Mr. Sharma earned his B.A. in Statistics and Applied Mathematics (Data Science Emphasis) from the University of California, Berkeley in 2025. He brings over six years of teaching experience—beginning as a volunteer instructor at his high school and later leading review sessions at UC Berkeley—and founded a peer tutoring business that helped students excel in AP subjects such as Calculus BC, Statistics, Computer Science A, and upper-division college courses such as Probability Theory and
Machine Learning. Mr. Sharma is dedicated to equity in the classroom, ensuring every student receives the personalized support and encouragement needed to master each concept.
At BASIS Independent Fremont, Mr. Sharma upholds the highest academic standards with a challenging curriculum designed to prepare students for advanced coursework and real-world problem solving. He firmly believes that deep comprehension arises from blending theory and application and is dedicated to translating advanced technical material into an approachable, inspiring form.
When he’s not in the classroom, he pursues software engineering projects and is currently developing a course reader for a UC Berkeley course in computational statistics. Outside of work, you’ll often find him at the gym, on the running trail (Lake Anza Trail is really nice), or spending time with friends and family.
