Ms. Kanika joins BASIS Independent Fremont as a Grade 1 Learning Expert Teacher, bringing a student-centered, globally-informed approach to early childhood learning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Economics, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication. Ms. Kanika’s years in Kindergarten teaching solidified her core belief that emotional well-being and development are foundational to academic growth. She is dedicated to cultivating a positive and supportive environment where students feel safe, confident to explore, and challenged to ask questions fearlessly.

Outside of school, she finds joy in reading, listening to music, and dedicating time to volunteering at animal shelters during her travels to India.
