Ms. Ruelas graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management Economics. She began her journey at BASIS Independent Fremont in 2019 as the Front Office Coordinator and, in 2022, stepped into the role as Director of Auxiliary Programs. “I love being part of the BASIS Independent Fremont community,” says Ms. Ruelas. “My mission is to ensure that every student and family feels included, valued, and supported. Creating a space where students can thrive both inside and outside of the classroom is what motivates me every day.”

When she is not on campus, Ms. Ruelas enjoys spending time with her family, especially her daughter and niece. She also takes care of her two dogs, Oreo and Penny, and loves hiking, camping, and traveling whenever she has the chance.
