Ms. Leonard holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Central Florida and brings over eight years of experience in education, working with students ranging from early childhood through high school. Prior to joining BASIS, Ms. Leonard toured nationally, directing and teaching musical theatre to youth in underserved communities across the country. She strongly believes that creativity is best nurtured through exploration, collaboration, and self-expression, and she is dedicated to helping every student build confidence and discover their unique artistic voice.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Leonard remains an active performer, taking the stage in regional theatre productions, composing original music, and exploring the Bay Area.
