Ms. Ruby earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Gujarat, India, in 1997, and a Master of Science in Microbiology and Biotechnology in 1999 from the same university. She worked as a research scientist in research and development at Sun Pharmaceutical Private Limited, Gujarat, India, for four years before transitioning to education. Ms. Ruby earned her teaching credentials in Early Education from Chabot College, Hayward, and holds a California State Associate Teacher Permit. With over a decade of experience in education, Ms. Ruby teaches Math and Science at BASIS Independent Fremont. She has taught students from preschool through middle school and is passionate about sharing her love of mathematics and science with her students. Ms. Ruby believes that mathematics helps students understand the world while building mental discipline, logical reasoning, and critical thinking skills.

"I am excited to be teaching at BASIS Independent Fremont, where I work with a team of passionate teachers who collectively believe in doing their best to make their students succeed," says Ms. Ruby. "My belief is that a teacher's duty is to teach and inspire students to never give up and always try, even when faced with challenges. Every child is different and unique, and I try my best to support them at their own pace, creating opportunities for discovery, imagination, and growth."

Ms. Ruby enjoys spending time outside with her family, especially on long drives or hikes. She is passionate about cooking and enjoys plating food in an aesthetically pleasing manner and photographing her creations. Fun Fact: Ms. Ruby can speak four languages, and she loves learning more!
