Ms. Peterson serves as the Director of Communications for both the Lower and Upper School campuses at BASIS Independent Fremont, a role she has held since 2021. Ms. Peterson graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature and a minor in Psychology. Following graduation, she gained valuable experience in public service and community engagement before discovering her passion for education. Her natural communication skills and dedication to the school community made her transition to her current leadership role a natural progression.

"The students and families of BASIS Independent Fremont are dedicated to their educations, and that commitment is reflected in their attitudes and performances," she says. "It is refreshing to work with students and be a part of a team that not only performs at a high level, but also displays eagerness and enthusiasm every day."

When she is not at work, Ms. Peterson enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, and traveling. Above all, she treasures spending time with her family and her two sons.
