Ms. Tai brings more than 20 years of experience and a deep passion for language education to her role as a Mandarin Subject Expert Teacher at BASIS Independent Fremont. Born and raised in Taiwan, she earned her bachelor’s degree in New Zealand and has been based in the U.S. since 2006. In addition to her classroom experience, Ms. Tai is the co-founder of the Fun Learning Mandarin YouTube channel, where she designs playful, meaningful curriculum and creates videos to support language learners and their families. She also led the Mandarin program at a local Montessori School, where she developed an immersive curriculum and mentored new teachers.

Whether working with a full class or tutoring one-on-one, Ms. Tai is committed to sparking curiosity, building confidence, and making each child feel supported on their language journey.
