Ms. Sun hails from a family of educators and has embraced the teaching profession with passion and dedication. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language, with a minor in education, from Shandong University in China. In 2021, Ms. Sun joined BASIS Independent Fremont, bringing with her a wealth of teaching experience, including the instruction of AP Chinese courses. She is committed to motivating and encouraging her students, emphasizing not only language skills but also cognitive, analytical, and communication skills. She firmly believes that these skills are transferable to various other academic areas, contributing to a well-rounded education.

Ms. Sun's teaching philosophy centers on preparing students for life by helping them acquire critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. She believes in fostering self-motivation in students to encourage them to reach their highest potential.

Beyond the classroom, Ms. Sun enjoys various activities, including cooking, hiking, and traveling. She cherishes quality time spent with her family and friends, and her homemade dishes are always a delightful addition to any gathering.
