Ms. Anh Than serves as the Head of Operations at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley's Lower School campus, where she is dedicated to ensuring that the systems and structures behind the scenes support a positive experience for students, families, and staff. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Jose State University, where she also contributed to a research project at Stanford Graduate School of Education as a research assistant. Ms. Than chose BASIS Independent Schools because the school’s vision has inspired her to embrace new opportunities, challenge herself, and continue growing as an educator and leader. Since joining BASIS Independent Silicon Valley in 2019 as the Curriculum Coordinator, she has taken on a variety of roles, including Upper School Dean of Students, Senior Project Coordinator, and Director of Academic Programs as a founding member of the Lower School campus. Through her experience across both campuses and teams, she has developed a deep understanding of the school community and its operations.

In her role as Head of Operations, Ms. Than works to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the school run smoothly and effectively. She is committed to creating an environment where students, families, and staff feel supported and where the structures in place allow the community to focus on learning, growth, and success. She strives to contribute to the school in ways that are thoughtful, organized, and centered around the needs of students.

Outside of school, Ms. Than enjoys cooking Vietnamese dishes and spending time with her two adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
