Ms. Ocampo brings a deep passion for education and a strong background in applied behavior analysis to her role as Director of Admissions at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley Lower School. In her role, Ms. Ocampo is dedicated to welcoming families into a community where students can thrive both academically and socially. She focuses on connecting with prospective families, helping them understand the Lower School’s comprehensive curriculum, and ensuring that each student is well-prepared to flourish in our fast-paced, supportive learning environment. Her first-hand classroom experience gives her unique insight into identifying students who will contribute to and benefit from the safe, inclusive, and encouraging culture at BASIS Independent.

Outside of school, Ms. Ocampo enjoys a wide range of interests—from her 12 years of competitive dance experience to her annual holiday visits to Disneyland. She’s also a devoted animal lover, caring for her guinea pig, Rosie, and her cat, Bobby. One of her life-long dreams is to travel across Asia, immersing herself in new cultures and perspectives.
