Ms. Monsanto earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from San Jose State University. During her time at SJSU, she served as the Marketing Director for Her Campus, where she led brand partnerships and managed content creation across social media platforms. In her role, she enjoys being a welcoming and knowledgeable resource for prospective families as they explore the school. Her goal is to provide a seamless and supportive experience throughout the enrollment process while sharing the community values that make BASIS Independent Silicon Valley unique. She chose BASIS Independent Schools because she values the way the community both challenges and inspires, while also supporting the growth of students and staff. With a background as an Afterschool Care Program Director, she has seen firsthand how meaningful structure and enrichment positively impact students, and she is excited to continue fostering those experiences here.

Her philosophy is rooted in building meaningful connections. She believes that when people feel supported, heard, and valued, they are empowered to thrive. She strives to create a welcoming environment, build strong relationships, and consistently lead with kindness. She also believes students learn best in safe and encouraging spaces where they feel supported, engaged, and free to make mistakes, ask questions, and express themselves with confidence.

Outside of work, Ms. Monsanto enjoys exploring local coffee and matcha spots, learning the art of coffee-making at home, and creating social media content through collaborations and ambassador roles. She also treasures time spent with family. A fun fact about her is that she loves cliff diving.
