Mr. Perez

He also served as a wrestling coach at Santa Teresa High School and Westmont High School, and since joining BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, has taught and coached basketball and volleyball.
As a College Counselor, Mr. Perez is committed to guiding students through the college application process with care, clarity, and encouragement. He strives to help each student identify their strengths, explore their passions, and find a post-secondary path that aligns with their goals and aspirations—all while promoting a healthy balance between academics and personal well-being.
Mr. Perez values the BISV community for its shared commitment to excellence and its dedication to preparing students for success beyond the classroom. He is excited to take on this role as another opportunity to support and inspire students in achieving their full potential.
Outside of school, Mr. Perez enjoys training in fitness and martial arts, playing pickup basketball at local parks, and creating music. He also runs an audio recording studio where he works with local artists in the community.
