Ms. Karen Ha serves as a Grade 1 Learning Expert Teacher at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, where she is passionate about building a strong classroom community and supporting students as they develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Ms. Ha chose BASIS Independent Schools because she values the opportunity to give back to a community that reflects her own educational experiences. Having grown up in a private school environment, she understands the impact a supportive school community can have on students and is excited to contribute to their growth and success.

Her approach to education centers on building meaningful relationships and creating an environment where students feel known, supported, and encouraged to grow. She believes that every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen the school community, and she enjoys connecting with students, families, and staff while helping create a welcoming experience for everyone on campus.

Outside of school, Ms. Ha enjoys reading, exploring new cafes with friends, and discovering new matcha spots. She recently picked up rock climbing and is excited to continue exploring this new hobby in her free time.
