Ms. Bhide
Kindergarten Lead
Ms. Bhide serves as a Kindergarten Lead at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, where she is passionate about creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that supports students as they develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources while living in India. She also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development from De Anza College in Cupertino.
Ms. Bhide’s goal as an educator is to create a classroom where students feel supported as they learn to work both independently and collaboratively. She believes in encouraging a growth mindset and helping students understand that mistakes are valuable opportunities for learning and growth. Through patience, encouragement, and meaningful connections, she helps students build confidence and feel empowered in their learning journey.
Her teaching philosophy centers on hands-on, interactive learning experiences that allow students to explore, make discoveries, and learn from their experiences. Ms. Bhide believes students learn best when they are encouraged to take risks, solve problems, and reflect on their progress. One of her favorite lessons involves teaching students about the life cycle of living things by growing plants from seeds to sprouts. Through caring for their plants and ensuring they receive sunlight and water, students develop a sense of responsibility, curiosity, and ownership of their learning.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Bhide enjoys going to the gym, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact: as a child, she had the unique experience of having a baby monkey, a fawn, and a lion cub as pets at different points in her childhood due to her father’s work.
