Having over ten years of teaching experience, Ms. Han’s goal is to help students master the Chinese language, know Chinese culture, and respect and love the diverse customs that come with it. Her teaching philosophy is that in order to fully understand the Chinese language, students must learn both reading and writing skills. Having this firm foundation will help students to have confidence and interest in exploring Chinese culture. Ms. Han incorporates Chinese games, crafts, and singing Chinese songs in her lesson plans to help make learning fun and easy for her students. When she is not teaching Mandarin, Ms. Han enjoys hiking in the Bay Area with her family and friends. She loves to read, cook delicious meals, and watch movies during her downtime.
