In addition to teaching Chinese language and culture in lower school classrooms, Ms. Tozzi started a Mandarin Bridge Program for students in Grades 5 and 6 to allow students to maintain and expand their Mandarin skills so that they might thereafter choose Mandarin as their foreign language elective in grades 7 to 12. She also has dedicated herself to building athletic and extra-curricular programs at BIM, including the BIM Wushu (Kung Fu) sports team, members of which have won gold medals at competitions in New York and New England in 2023 and 2024 and performed at a half-time show at a Washington Wizards NBA game at the Capitol One Arena in the District of Columbia.

A native of Taiwan, Ms. Tozzi believes that language is the key to unlocking a cultural door and is passionate about sharing the richness of the Chinese language and culture with her students, who perform the Lion Dance annually at the BASIS Lunar New Year celebration.
