Ms. Khraibani
Science
Primary Program, Middle School
Ms. Khraibani joined BIM this fall. She attended University of Mary Washington for Environmental Science and Teaching. Afterward, she went to Clark University in Massachusetts for her master’s in Environmental Science and Policy. Ms. Khraibani always knew that she wanted to be a teacher, but also she wanted to do some non-profit work. Before teaching, Ms. Khraibani worked with an environmental non-profit organization for 3 years. During her time in school and at the non-profit, she tutored and volunteered in an educational setting. She wanted to travel and try something new. After her time in the non-profit world, Ms. Khraibani moved to China to teach! She lived in China for 3 years and loved every moment of it. However, COVID had other plans. She came back to VA, where she was born and raised, to help her mother recover from open heart surgery. And now, she is excited to be joining the BASIS Independent McLean Family. Just a little more about Ms. Khraibani. She loves hiking, reading, and cooking. She has an adult cat named Buttons that she adopted earlier this year from the animal shelter. Her favorite subject to teach is science, because it was her science teacher who motivated her to love school.
