Ms. Strauss is thrilled to begin her journey at BASIS Independent McLean as a Toddler Teacher Fellow! After graduating, she relocated to the DMV area to begin her professional career, where she taught students from PreK through 5th grade, gaining experience in both general and special education across public and private school settings.

Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that children learn best when they feel valued and secure. Guided by the belief that learning flourishes in a classroom where every child feels a sense of belonging, Ms. Strauss likes to focus on building trust and strong relationships in her classroom.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Strauss enjoys exploring new places, photography, art, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Bella.
