Both Early Admissions and Regular Admissions are open to applicants for Age 2–Grade 10. The application requirements are the same for both cycles, but the timelines are different. So, which one is right for your family?

Early Admissions: Ready to Get Started?

Early Admissions is a great option for families who have already explored BASIS Independent McLean and feel this is their top private school choice.

By completing the admissions process by November 15, families receive an admissions decision earlier in the school year, providing more time to plan and prepare for the year ahead.

Consider Early Admissions if:

• BASIS Independent McLean is your top choice.
• You have visited us or are ready to learn more.
• You are prepared to complete the application requirements this fall.
• An earlier admissions decision would help with your family’s planning.
• You are applying to a high-demand grade. Early Admissions gives you the advantage of securing your seat earlier in the private school admissions process.

Regular Admissions: More Time to Explore

Still exploring your options? That’s okay! Regular Admissions gives families additional time to learn about our school, attend an Admissions Event, and complete the application process.

The core admissions requirements remain the same, but the application and notification dates are later.

Consider Regular Admissions if:

• You are earlier in your school search.
• You would like more time to visit and explore our program.
• You need additional time to complete your application.
