Admissions Overview

Discover one of the best academic programs in the U.S.

We are excited to know you are considering BASIS Independent Brooklyn, a PreK through Grade 12 private school with a Lower and Upper school location.

We are now accepting applications in Rolling Admissions for the 2025-2026 school year for PreK – Grade 10.

Admissions is a selective process. We seek applicants who have an interest in learning at an international level, a desire to make a contribution, a willingness to work hard, and an ambition to join a collaborative, supportive, and joyful community of peers, and Learning and Subject Expert Teachers. Here, you will find a respectful, diverse, and passionate community dedicated to advanced academic inquiry, providing opportunities for exploration and choice, and rigorous student support and social-emotional growth.

We are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year in Rolling Admissions.

Cut-off Dates

  • PreK-1 students must turn 3 by September 1
  • PreK-2 students must turn 4 by September 1
  • Kindergarten students must turn 5 by September 1

We evaluate each student based on their academic preparedness and potential. If we deem a student more suitable for a grade that doesn’t align with their birthdate during the application process, we will make that grade placement recommendation.
