Week 6

Hi everyone!

This week I decided to find different places to work other than the office to see if I could increase my motivation and productivity. I got a lot of work done when I went to Barnes and Noble compared to when I was at Starbucks, but I think that mainly had to do with the fact that Barnes and Noble was much quieter. On Thursday I went to D.C. to meet with my advisor and we went to Maryland to do more sensor installations at Gaithersburg High School. Sometimes when I walk into high schools for installations, the people in the main office think I am a student at the school even though I walk in with my advisor which I find funny.

As we were installing sensors, the poor school Wi-Fi got in the way because none of the sensors were showing up to be online, but after about 30 minutes of waiting and installing other sensors, the Wi-Fi finally cooperated and we could see that our sensors were online. We got to the school by 12:30 but by the time we left it was 4 and the traffic was awful! From Gaithersburg back to my house, it took close to an hour and twenty minutes! It’s trips like those that make me hate driving. I am excited to update you on Week 7 before I take my break.
