While teaching, Ms. Valerio was known for the strong connections she made with her students and their families. She has brought the same warmth and energy to her interactions with prospective families at BASIS Independent Brooklyn. When speaking with families considering our school, Ms. Valerio loves highlighting the ways in which our students take ownership of their learning. She is continually inspired by the achievements of our students and how our staff rallies behind them to help them reach their full potential.

Outside of work, Ms. Valerio trains in flying trapeze and trampoline gymnastics. She also enjoys attending dance classes, traveling, going to concerts, and reading.
