Ms. Chen is a Subject Expert Teacher in Mandarin at BASIS Independent Brooklyn, where she teaches Primary, Middle, and High School students. She holds a bachelor’s degree in teaching Chinese as a second language from Kaohsiung International University, Taiwan. Ms. Chen brings years of global experience to the classroom, having taught students from early childhood to high school in Asia and the USA across immersion, traditional, private, and online settings. Ms. Chen believes language learning should be purposeful, enjoyable, and risk-free, with lots of laughter, games, and mistakes—mistakes are part of learning!
