Ms. Tang is a Mandarin Subject Expert Teacher at BASIS Independent Brooklyn, teaching students across the Primary, Middle, and High School programs. She previously taught Mandarin at the Lower School campus before joining the Upper School faculty. Ms. Tang earned her master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Wuhan University. She has many years of experience in language education in China and previously taught Mandarin in Pittsburgh. She has worked with students of different ages and language backgrounds, from young beginners to high school students. In her classroom, Ms. Tang enjoys using visual-based language teaching methods to make Mandarin easier to understand and remember. She also incorporates games, stories, and cultural activities to create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
