Ms. Milden is a Learning Expert Teacher for our Grade 3 learners at our Upper School campus. She has served our BASIS Independent Brooklyn community for 10 years, also working as a LET in Grades 4 and 2 throughout her time here. She earned her teaching certification from the University of South Florida in Elementary Education K-6 and her TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement before moving to Brooklyn. Ms. Milden was drawn to BASIS Independent Brooklyn after learning about its importance in fostering student autonomy as well as the co-teaching model within our primary program, admiring the symbiotic relationship created between teachers in the classroom. Outside the classroom, Ms. Milden loves taking exceptionally long walks around the city, birding in Prospect Park, cooking, discovering new music, and writing for her Dungeons and Dragons games.‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌
