Ms. Schickling is a Subject Expert Teacher in Physical Education at BASIS Independent Brooklyn. She received her Bachelor of Arts from California University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Schickling first joined BASIS Independent Brooklyn in the Admissions Department in 2016, and she found she loved the environment and culture the school created for students. Two years later, she joined the Operations Team before moving into a faculty position at the school. For the past several years, Ms. Schickling coached the co-ed basketball team and helped coach the middle and high school girls’ volleyball team.

When not in the classroom, Ms. Schickling enjoys being in nature, whether that means reading a book at the park, going on a hike, or doing yoga on her roof. She is a suburban girl at heart, and she always takes the opportunity to see some green in this concrete jungle.
