Ms. Lee is a Subject Expert Teacher for Honors and AP English Language and Composition. Her goal as a BASIS Independent educator is to instill a love of and confidence in reading in each and every student. Ms. Lee graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in English literature with a concentration in creative writing and a minor in symbolic systems. She continued her studies at Stanford, where she also received her Master of Arts in English literature.
BASIS Independent Brooklyn’s community and excitement for academic exploration called to Ms. Lee, along with a student body full of confident thinkers willing to take on rigorous challenges. She’s particularly excited about teaching a mix of classic literature and contemporary texts that speak to the circumstances students face today.
When Ms. Lee isn’t in the classroom, she is something of a “hobby-ist,” exploring a new hobby every month. Currently, she spends much of her time line dancing, writing or reading fantasy books, hitting bullseyes in archery, swimming, and playing card games with her friends.
