Ms. Lindsey is a Subject Expert Teacher in the Primary Program and Middle School at BASIS Independent Brooklyn. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2003 and several years working for non-profit organizations, Ms. Lindsey discovered a love for teaching as a teaching assistant while earning a master’s degree in philosophy. She worked as a test prep instructor and tutor for four years. Ms. Lindsey chose BASIS Independent Brooklyn for its commitment to academic growth and its team of excellent educators. Ms. Lindsey says, “Teachers work for that moment when there’s a new spark of understanding and confidence for a student. Sometimes they'll hesitate to ask for more or a different explanation, but I like the challenge of finding new ways to help students understand, to really get it. And that moment when they do is so rewarding.”

When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Lindsey enjoys spending time at the beach or Prospect Park, and rock climbing.
