Ms. Morehouse is an Early Learning Teacher focused on Kindergarten instruction, and she is a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the BASIS Independent Brooklyn Lower School community. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in politics and government and a minor in sociology, Ms. Morehouse initially pursued a career in advertising in Chicago. After completing her master's degree, Ms. Morehouse began teaching Kindergarten in Chicago and later moved to New York City to be closer to her family. For over a decade, she has been nurturing young minds, including three years at a local Brooklyn school before joining BASIS Independent Brooklyn. In addition to teaching at the Lower School, she is the Kindergarten subject advisor for the BASIS Curriculum Schools. She also serves as a mentor teacher for new lower school teachers.

When not in the classroom, Ms. Morehouse enjoys spending time with her family in Westchester, diving into a good book, or planning exciting trips with friends and loved ones.
