Who believes in you? Who always makes you laugh? Who believes in you? Who always makes you laugh?

Our Lower School Cubs took a moment this week to deliver sweet notes to the teachers who greet them in the hallways, lead unforgettable assemblies, and bring joy to their everyday school experience. A small gesture can leave a lasting impression, and our students helped make sure their great teachers knew what a difference they make during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.

To all our incredible BASIS Independent Brooklyn faculty: Thank you for coming to school every single day with heart and dedication. What you do matters more than words can say.

Behind every senior walking across the stage at gr Behind every senior walking across the stage at graduation is a teacher who gladly fielded more questions during Student Hours, who saw the spark of interest in a subject before the student realized it themselves, who mentored with genuine engagement, and who chose to teach because it matters.

Our incredible faculty and staff work tirelessly to make a difference, and their impact extends long after students have left their classrooms. That's why, on National Teacher Appreciation Day today, we wanted to give the floor to our seniors.

We're encouraging all families to follow their lead and send a note of thanks to the educator — or educators — who made a difference in your student's journey this year. Let them know they are seen and appreciated.
