- Project Title: Soldiers and Stallions: A Quantitative Research Screener on PTSD Equine Treatment
- BASIS Independent Advisor: Mr. Hirsch
- Internship Location: GallopNYC/Endeavors Stables
- Onsite Mentor: Dianne Garcia
This project, in partnership with the Wounded Warrior Foundation, will identify which combination of variables and markers are the strongest predictors of which veterans with PTSD would benefit most from equine-assisted therapy, in addition to existing traditional PTSD therapies, and from which type (THR or EAGALA)? Can this be codified to improve and amplify results of equine-assisted therapy randomized control trials?
