Week 0: Introduction

Hi, my name is Derek and I will be researching how Macro- and Microplastics have impacted aquatic life. I am going to be working as an Discovery Guide Educator at the New York Aquarium in Brooklyn, New York. As part of this position, I will educate visitors to the aquarium on how the ocean has been impacted by pollution. In addition, I will be able to talk through ways in which everyone can take a part in reducing the amount of pollution flowing into the ocean.
