Week 1: Building A Strong Foundation
Hello, everyone! I hope you are doing well! This first week has been nothing short of enthralling, as I have been busy laying a strong foundation for my studies. I am currently focused on determining the key factors that will contribute to the success of my project, such as my workout routine, diet, and sleep schedule. To accomplish this, I am working closely with my on-site mentor, Alvin, who is an expert in the field of physical fitness. Together, we have been exploring the different options available to me and creating a plan that is tailored to my needs and goals. In addition to working with Alvin, I have also had the opportunity to get to know some of the other staff members at the facility where I will be conducting my research. They have been incredibly welcoming and helpful, showing me around the different areas of the facility and introducing me to the equipment that I will be using during my workouts. One of the highlights of this first week has been getting to know some of the local teens who attend the Red Hook recreational center. This center boasts a wide range of activities that are popular among teenagers, including an indoor basketball court, ping pong tables, and pool tables. I took advantage of these activities and had the chance to meet and talk to some of the teens who regularly visit the center. It was great to hear their perspectives on fitness, health, and overall well-being. Thank you all for the interest and support I have had throughout the beginning stages of my project!
