AP Research Week 2: A Change Of Plans

Hi Everyone! I hope you’re doing well this week. As I addressed in the last post I was working towards sending out my survey through the Wounded Warrior Foundation but I ran into a roadblock. Due to my research being the first of its kind that Wounded Warrior has collaborated with, there are many legal roadblocks that have prevented me from creating the intended screener in the amount of time given. Due to this time crunch, I have decided to shorten my screener in order to fit a smaller population to meet the AP Research deadline and will return to work with Wounded Warrior on the more complete screener for the final presentation at the end of May. Instead of working towards the longer version of my initial screener that included the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) and twelve additional questions, I have shortened the screener to just the twelve questions in order for faster distribution to other smaller organizations like local VA hospitals or veterans community groups. Hopefully the next time I write to you all I’m able to gather some data for my revised screener. Until next time, Oliver K. Kuo
