Week 5

Hello everyone. I have just finished up my second and final week in Italy with a lot of information to go through and work with. During my time there, I was able to sit down with two mayors, with a third and possibly a fourth agreeing to send me their responses through email when they have a chance. Along with the interviews of the mayors, I have many interviews with business owners and people who work in tourism on the Amalfi coast that I’m excited to share with you all.

Regarding the interviews, I’m planning on sharing a number of transcripts after I get them translated. While I had a translator on hand while doing the interviews, I feel like it would be best for me to translate the transcriptions so the information I share is as close to the words of the people I interviewed as possible. I believe that I will have the first of these ready to be shared by my next blog post. Thank you for your continued interest in my project and I look forward to continuing to update everybody on my progress.
