This is super late, but this week I went to Maryland again to install gateway sensors with my advisor. We went on Tuesday to install and uninstall sensors from various schools in MCPS. We were originally only going to install sensors, but then we got a call saying that the software that collects all of the sensor data had crashed so we went to unplug and uninstall a few gateways as well. We were in Maryland for five hours that day!
On the independent research side, I am still consolidating sources and I have read a few more to help with my presentation. It’s been interesting to read about the different thresholds that are in place for different particles and what the different measures are to fix a school if these thresholds are exceeded.
Can’t wait to update next week!
Here is what a sensor installation looks like with the sensor, the case, and the wire guard.
