Week 4- Next Steps

I finished watching all the cartoon episodes for my data collection! Even though my brain was fried from the high pitched voices, I was able to gather all the data I needed for my project. My current challenge is compiling the data according to my research question.

I did not have access to my laptop on Wednesday or Thursday and had to make up for that by spending my time this weekend solely on this project. While working, I realized that the trend that my data displayed was slightly different than what I expected. I noticed a huge difference among the cartoons prior to the 2000s versus the ones after the 2000s that will be ample to support my hypothesis.

Furthermore, I have to slightly shift the way I present my data in my paper. A lot of my observations were not necessarily reflected in the actions of female characters, even though that is the bulk of my data. I had observations relating to the way characters were dressed, and how they were treated by male characters. A couple of quotes really struck out to me and I decided to write them down. I am excited to compile my data and solidify my project! Until next week.
