Saira and Aidan captured the vote by presenting their plans and new initiatives during last week’s debate. 🌕 Did you catch the Harvest Moon last night? T 🌕 Did you catch the Harvest Moon last night?

Though the Mid-Autumn Festival peaked with the full moon last night, the spirit of celebration continues! What better way to honor this tradition than with handmaking mooncakes? In Mandarin class, our PreK friends made them out of playdough (for pretend eating!) while students in Grades 1-5 made the real deal! They mixed, pressed, and shaped their own mooncakes in a symbolic activity of unity and togetherness.

At the Lower School, these types of hands-on experiences create a real-world cultural connection to and deeper understanding of the language they are learning.

➡️ It’s not too late to celebrate: Grab a mooncake, look up at the moon, and share a moment with your loved ones under its bright glow.

* Tap SAVE for a reminder of this sweet day!
* Choose an emoji and REACT to the students' work: 🥮 (Mooncake), 🌙 (Moon), or 😋 (Yummy!)

Wishing our families a joyful celebration! 中秋快乐! (Zhōng qiū kuài lè!)
