All Merit Scholar recipients are selected based on their abilities, achievements, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Within the BASIS Independent Schools network alone, we have five eligible high schools to be considered.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is a yearly academic competition for high school students in the United States that offers college scholarships and recognition. The program is run by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, a private, not-for-profit organization.
