BookTok: Final Presentation, Importance, And Possible Solutions

A Study conducted on 120 children tests effects of diverse arrangement of literature on student learning abilities and found they were Better able “to intelligently question, challenge and appreciate values and ideas within text”, Developed more mature critical thinking skills and Have broader world perceptions. This Exacerbates BookTok’s issue of de-diversification. Some solutions are getting book recommendations from variety of sources, Consistently checking and challenging one’s biases, and Reflecting more deeply & thoughtfully about one’s media consumption choices and patterns.
