Ms. Recio graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and English. She has worked as an educator at the Children’s Museum of the Arts, Eckford Street Studio, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Marlene Meyerson JCC, and Henry Street Settlement. Ms. Recio believes that all children have a right to express themselves creatively. At BASIS Independent Manhattan, she is committed to fostering a positive learning environment where students are eager to experiment and learn.
