Ms. Delaney graduated from Scripps College with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Studio Art. In 2015, she completed the Career Discovery Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and in 2016, she studied architecture and art history at the Chelsea College of Arts in London, UK. A foundational faculty member at BASIS Independent Manhattan for the past eight years, Ms. Delaney has served the school community as an Engineering Subject Expert Teacher, Subject Advisor, Teacher Mentor, and Master Mentor. She is also a participant in the Spring Education Group’s prestigious year-long Leadership Academy Training Program for the 2026–27 school year.

Ms. Delaney was thrilled to take the step from classroom to administration in 2026 to become the Upper School Director of Student Affairs. She chose BASIS Independent Manhattan because of its deeply collaborative, interconnected model. "Engineering teaches us that growth comes through perseverance, reflection, and a willingness to try again," Ms. Delaney shares. "My goal is to design systems and support structures that cultivate these exact qualities in our students, ensuring they feel known, valued, and connected."

When she is not supporting students, Ms. Delaney enjoys visiting her family’s lilac farm in Bridgewater, Connecticut, trying out new recipes, and boxing.
