Mr. Meyer graduated from New York University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. In 2023, he received a master’s degree in education from Lehigh University’s College of Education. During his years of pre-student and student teaching, Mr. Meyer gained experience in AP World History (Gr. 11), U.S. History (Gr. 8), and AP U.S. History (Gr. 10). As a History Subject Expert Teacher, Mr. Meyer believes in fostering intrinsic motivation and individual accountability to develop independence and success in his students. He is thrilled to be at BASIS Independent Manhattan where his teaching philosophy aligns with the school’s mission.
